Behind the cut is a series of scans of something I found in my mother's files tonight while I was looking for genealogy stuff. It's a story I wrote when I was about 8. *grins*

Today at work I'm transcribing the oldest stuff I've worked with so far. These are contracts to transport cotton, tobacco, and furs down the river to New Orleans, and they're dated from throughout 1817. So I'm wondering... is anyone else more excited about the sequel to The Hobbit than about The Hobbit movie itself? I'm geeking out about the latter as much I should be, don't get me wrong.
