My orange tabby is sitting in front of the monitor. He makes it hard to type around. Purrcy continues to make himself at home and is the new The One Cat who will stay around when other people come over. Skittish and orange tabby are zoom! To hide under the bed. Purrcy's not quite 'Pet Me' like Love Cat was, but he's close.

I was very sorry to read the news of Dean Stockwell’s death earlier this week. I loved Quantum Leap and watched Dean in several of his other performances, where he was always excellent.
QL was one of my pre-internet fandoms. I read zines and novelizations, attended Dean’s Hollywood Walk of Fame induction, and the two official QL conventions. I won ( Read more... ) -

My niece wants to see the What If? series, and we have watched the first episode.
But I'm finding myself having a hard time finishing the series after watching episodes 3 thru 5 all in one evening, where everyone dies. That was so freaking bleak and unexpected to me.

I have a new kitty, a 13-year-old black and white tuxedo manx. A woman on my neighborhood's Facebook group was looking for a new home for him, as his 90-year-old owner had gone into a care facility, and the 72-year-old friend who was supposed to take the cat suddenly died of a blood clot. I saw Dune on Tuesday (with friends, and then we went to pizza afterwards, yay normalcy!). I enjoyed it, and I was definitely glad I saw it big screen. That said, it did seem somewhat slow, taking its time to establish the characters and develop the plot. It's very definitely a Part 1. It is raining, omg, so much today. We're still officially in a drought but any amount of rain is a relief to see. I'm staying inside all day. I'm thinking of watching a movie and drinking hot chocolate this afternoon.
I haven't posted much lately, mostly been feeling ambivalent or stressed about relatively small problems.
