Its been a while since I thought that but its been cut and dyed (actually probably closer to my natural color than it has been for a while) and I wore it down today and it is just a little bit wavy and very thick and I like it. That is all.

Done. Well, mostly done. Did my QE today. They gave me a "conditional pass" which means that I have to do a little more writing to clarify/specify some stuff but mostly, I'm done. Realized while helping a lower belt at TKD the other day: I have a tendency when I try to critique someone to preface everything with "I have trouble with this too" or some such. Just found out my abstract should really be in already. At the very least it has to be approved sometime next week. I sort of knew that it was coming up but I didn't do the math correctly so I thought I had another week. I was mostly done and I just finished the intro tonight but this feels like a hassle I didn't want to deal with.

Apparently, this one guy makes me cry. This time at least not in front of him. You ever get the feeling like someone could just read you? Its very disconcerting and I think that is why I feel crappy every time I talk to him. Unfortunately, I made a really lazy decision to include him on my committee because he offered. I went to talk to my program director today about setting up my qualifying committee. I've been putting this off and I finally decided I just have to do it this week. According to my (6-year old) nephew, George Bush is responsible for the dissapearance of the Toys R Us store near his house. No one is really clear where he got this idea. It is generally agreed that no one told him this so it has to be some sort of application of 6-year-old logic. He's apparently spreading this theory at school.

Yar. So I finished my outline thesis proposal thingy (basically it was an outline of questions I'm interested in addressing but short on practical detail). Incidentally, I also got two experiments to work this week already so I think I'm probably done for the week.
