My hangover is finally lessening, so I thought that I would say thank you to all my friends who helped make this year's Ball a success. Every year I realize how lucky I am to have so many good friends who are willing to lend their time to such an important cause.

Bernie and I are going to do a Broadway musical based on the Anne Rice novel. I have always loved Anne's children of the night and I am elated to be able to bring her characters to the stage. Tonight's concert is canceled. Billy doesn't feel well. So I have tonight to do other things. Mail is stacking up and calling loudly. Business papers that need my signature are here some place. When I woke up this morning, I didn't feel any older than I did last night. ( I felt VERY old the night before--I had a hellish hangover from the party). Thanks to all that attended for making it such a big event.
