DS's school friend T. sent him a note this morning: his daughters had been filling in a paper for preschool in which they were asked to answer the question "I want to go to ________", and why. Their answers were "Bellevue" and "To see Uncle [DS]'s cat", which made DS laugh quite hard - not even to see him, but Melodie, the World's Best Kitten. :D

Yesterday the Madison Diner, the beloved 1948 Fodero Dining Car at the bottom of our hill, announced that they are closing indefinitely due to staffing and supply issues.
