Fake. We always had a live tree until I started having pneumonia each winter, and we discovered I'm allergic to evergreens and the mold that can be on them. I still miss the real trees.
Fake. I have one that's about 18" high that I inherited from my great-grandmother. It goes up every year. I have a 7' one that's been in it's box for the past 5 years running. I really don't even know what it looks like!
I still recall the wonderful smell of real Christmas trees from my childhood though. I miss that, but not the hassle.

We always get a real tree. One of the highlights of the Christmas season is going as a family to cut our own tree, and singing Christmas carols in the car on the way home, and eating at the Red Restaurant every year.
Yes, my arms itch after I'v put on the decorations, but I'd never have a fake tree. I think I'd rather do without if I couldn't have real.
