I finished my "There and Back Again" quilt
I went through three sewing machines on this project, but I did finish the Fandom In Stitches: There and Back Again hobbit quilt.

I may be getting too old for this nonsense
We have to put a new roof on the house this year. It's 35 years old, and the insurance company is insisting. It does need replacing. We can do it for about $2000 for materials, and save $1500 or so on having it done. We've roofed houses before, and have the equipment and knowledge and two nearby Home Depot stores.

Three things make a post
Good thoughts if you can, for my son Ace, who is taking his PhD prelim exams. Today is the written exam, and next Wednesday the orals. He's studying Astrophysics, and he's good, but there is so much stress when they can ask you anything you've ever studied, or actually anything THEY've ever studied. Snow, snow and more snow
Another 10" of snow last night. I suppose I ought to be grateful that we missed the sleet, freezing rain and more sleet that had been forecast, but still, enough already! This morning I picked up 103 cases of Girl Scout Cookies and put them all in my living room.
