Down the coast for 10 days
I've never tried to write something meaningful on my phone, so let's see how this goes.
Zachary has braces now, and we don't have to have him wear them at school. We will see how long he can keep a good attitude about them. He's just lost two more teeth, so the whole process just keeps getting easier.

These two weeks at my son’s school is for parent teacher meetings, so they cut the days short and hustle the kids off early into the library to get them to buy books for the book faire fundraiser ( Read more... ) -
whistling and i don't know where he gets this stuff
Zachary asks me to teach him to whistle, that’s a nice way to spend an hour. Of course the only music I could think off of the top of my head, was the theme to “the good, the bad and the ugly”. Zachary is getting braces this month. I guess it was time. Six months for the top and six months for the bottom. I never wanted braces when I was a kid, I guess it was my resentment about the lack of control I felt like I had in my life at that time ( Read more... ) -

Zachary started practicing cursive a few weeks ago. There was no prompting from us (Stacey and my cursive writing is atrocious), he just wanted to know it in case he has to learn it someday. I wonder if it is even a useful life skill anymore… typing seems to be more useful, but I don’t think we’ll be typing a dozen years from now. Maybe he’s ( Read more... ) -

I miss my dad.
I’ve been thinking about my dad a lot over the last few weeks. It was about a year ago that he went into a facility, and shortly thereafter became unresponsive, and passed.
