I was going to go on for a little bit about the Mehserle trial, but you don't need someone else going on about this insanity, so I'll just say that I was somewhat affected- they had us evacuate at the Oakland museum before the verdict came down- and that things like this are one of the few events that truly scare me.

Well, there went June.

Been up to even less than usual. Besides the job hunt and work, really not much happening. I finished some noteworthy anime recently, so I thought I'd tell y'all about that:

This past week was good- highlights include picking up the Ultimate X-Men year 3 tpb on the cheap... again. (It was one of the items taken from me after WonderCon.) Finished reading it today. Decent stuff, but it feels like Millar was never meant to stay on a superhero book for an extended period. I'm excited to see where Bendis takes it... ( Read more... )

Words can't describe how thankful I am for the opportunity to visit poiuppx this weekend. Though I am vigilantly stalking the elusive job, it's looking like my time at the Cartoon Art Museum will soon be coming to an end. So my surgery happened yesterday. It all went fine, the worst parts were waiting to get into pre-op and then waiting for the anesthetic to wear off so I could get out of post-op. Didn't get home until 6 last night, and I've spent most of my time since then lying down and watching things-- either on drugs or waiting for drugs to kick in. God willing ( Read more... )
