Monday night - back in the USA. Can't watch football, much as I'd like, have to go to sleep instead. But yeah. Good trip, nice to be back home. I'll update more later.

It's been a busy week-and-a-half. Last Friday I went to California to visit Jamie for a long weekend - an eminently worthwhile trip despite the 24 hours of flying time it entailed. If you're going to go rowing for over 2 hours, it's best to eat beforehand. I cannot stress this enough. It's also helpful if you actually know what you're going to do before getting in the boat. I was in Geneva this morning to get my British visa for the next three years. Good news: there were no problems, and not even any hassle like last summer, even though it was the same woman who objected strenuously to my application last time.
