3:43pm - I come back from the library and go to wash my hands at the sink in my room. I turn on the cold water tap. Yes, there are separate taps. The water is initially cool, allowing me to wet and lather my hands, but over 10 seconds gets progressively hotter, so hot, in fact, that I can't rinse my hands in it without getting burned. I was pondering something while in the shower. You all know how if you keep steam under high pressure, it gets hotter than standard boiling temperature, right? So the question is this: if you had hot enough steam, could you use a jet of it to set something (say, a newspaper) on fire?
