They're Tapped!
...and the flow should start tomorrow morning too... nothing like collecting gallons of sap and boiling it down into glorious sweet syrup! Mine is a huge Silver Maple - we like the syrup even better than Sugar Maples. It's a long, tedious process - rather like this wound up being, but worth every moment...

Well I still havent spun much since I moved this summer. Been to busy unpacking and dealing with my moms cancer. Of course this is fiber neglect. I though my payback was here. I did spend yesterday going through every bit of wool on the mail floor. All my baskets, bags and boxes. I saw 3 moths in my office last week so I took everything outside ( Read more... ) -
