So without car keys, I'm essentially carless. I strapped on my old combat boots and walked to work. It's 3.5 miles from home. It was 90F during my 11am-1pm stroll, but my body doesn't mind. Google picked a nice route for me, and I'd brought plenty of water.

Oh noes! just when our analysis was about complete, the Human Microbiome Project sent us more sequencing data! I just got told to apply for the fellowship grant I really wanted! It's a genomics teaching grant apparently the grant program coordinator talked to my program coordinator who tells me they're impressed with my (voluntary) participation in the program associated with the training grant and with my taking the killer genomics course they run.
