So since I last posted we have relocated back from Windsor to Bonfield, done a bit of settling back in, been hosts/guests at a Crown tournament on our land, and generally lacked much down-time. The Company assembled for breakfast at 8.15 to enjoy our first English breakfast and to plan our day. This year we had badges! J. had commissioned them from kes_zone, and they represented our take on St. Pirrin: his millstone plus a nice poisonous-looking snake. At 10 a.m on Sunday May 2 the Company of St. Pirrin assembled on the platform of Paddington Station ready to board the Great Western for Penzance (and many points between).  This year, with the addition of Paul and H. we really were the Nine Walkers. We had two days in London, and a short list from the Patch of bits of the city she wanted H. to experience. We had already settled on no museums, although the V&A or the British were possibilities if the weather was lousy. I thought I'd lump both plane rides (there and back again) together, because they were, well, long plane rides. The one there was a bit fraught, just the concern if there was going to be a problem due to the volcanic ash, but it was one of the easiest Atlantic crossings ever. When we were walking on the Coast Path in Cornwall two years ago we kept saying two things:  " This would scare the Patch to death!" (She has no head for heights at all) and "Wouldn't H just love this adventure?"  Last year there was no walking holiday, but Kes-Zone and I took the Mouse on an expedition to climb a mountain in the Adirondacks. I've been up and back to Bonfield  about 6 times this winter, picking up GT for Thanksgiving and Christmas, visiting with the Mouse over Spring Break, coming up to do NS' taxes.
