I do about forty minutes of yoga just about every day, but when I'm distracted and stressed as I was about the water in the house I don't want to - just when I need it the most. On Saturday when I went to do the pitch-in, I found that I had quite a bit of water in the crawl-space under the stairs to the basement.  This had happened once before - a pin-hole in the copper pipe. Yesterday NS and I went over to GT's old school to talk to the Grade Fours about life in the Middle Ages.  NS was in partial armour, I in a cotehardi. We brought the wooden sheath but no sword, not even a rattan one. For the last few years I haven't done a proper cull of un-needed things. I do cull, clothes always, but other stuff - mostly quite superficial.  We have three pitch-in days a year at the dump and I take advantage of all of them - well, the September one is mostly garbage from Baron's Howe, but this year i've gone above and beyond ( Read more... )

That's been preying on my mind some, and I think bumbling honesty is preferable to dishonest competence any day. I study history. I have big plans for pitch-in this year - big culls both in the house and out of it. The May pitch-in day is coming up, then the July one. I feel lighter already!
