I missed last night's Top Gear because the union cinema was hosting a "Batman Night" and I had not seen either Batman Begins or The Dark Knight so was easily convinced to go along. Right, so, this week in one of my English classes we had to rewrite a fairytale using only words from a newspaper article. This sounds difficult, and trust me, it's a lot harder than it sounds, even. I'm posting lots today. That's rather unlike me.

I thought the fireworks might keep me awake tonight but actually I think it might be the guy next door snoring. I can hear him through my window and through his, which since it's cold, I suspect is closed. I hear him most nights but that combined with the fireworks make me glad I'm really tired!

I have so much work to do. Deadlines are looming and I have rarely had such an unproductive week in my entire life. I really have to get moving because lecturers are mean and put all the assignments due within one week of each other. It's a cruel, cruel thing to do.

Next week is reading week for half of my degree, and two weeks later is reading week for the other half. I'd really love to know who decided to seperate them this year, because for the last two years, they have been in the same week.
