I just got home after dropping off Scott and Jason at Penn Station, and playing a couple of games with Conrad at his motel. Unfortunately, he doesn't have internet access at the motel, so he may have to do something ridiculous like sleep before I pick him up at 6am to drive him to the airport. Friends and family gathered this morning to say farewell to Rose Kreiswirth. Scrabble in general -- and Long Island Scrabble in particular -- is diminished today.

Rose Kreiswirth  was one of the first people I got to know in Scrabble. And she was always a class act in every way, as a player and as a person.
