Every scheduled paying gig I had fell through.
A grand time was had.
Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton had me sing Copper Kettle three times in five days; I guess it's popular.
The best bit of all was playing for Occupy Memphis, along with a whole SLEW of other musicians.

February = Folk Alliance
I'll be arriving at Chicago's Union Station on Friday February 17, somewhere around 3pm. Saturday is Kharmin and Mary's Birthday Party, and I'm looking forward to playing Sunday for Jeremy's folks. Tour 2011, Days 22-28
I am definitively having a reaction to sea level altitudes and high humidities. Or I'm getting sick.
On the other hand, I've just given two of the most beautiful concerts of my life.

Tour 2011, Days 15-21
Got into Memphis about an hour later than Amtrak predicted. Andy Cohen called about 6:30am, to say he was there to pick me up, and the train got in around 7:30am. I am still annoyed that the Profit Motive requires that coal and other freight gets priority over moving humans in this nation ( Read more... ) -
Tour, Days 7, 8, 9
Played at Emack and Bolio's Ice Cream, in Albany. The weather was just a little chilly, and I mostly played to my recording device, until the same dear lady who stood (STOOD!) for four hours listening to me at the Troy Farmer's Market stopped by, with a friend (y'know, I never got her name. Played today at Better Bite, had a lovely time.
Tomorrow; Emack and Bolio's Ice Cream and Cafe (366 Delaware in Albany) and the Helsinki, in Hudson.
I *think* I can do both. We'll see. -
Tour, Day 5
Given the day off by fate and destiny, I opted to sleep late. So far, it was a good idea, although at the moment I have a pressure-headache.
Working on memorizing a few lyrics, and taking it as easy as I can. Tomorrow, I'll probably play the lunchhour at Better Bite, in Albany. Hope all's well with all of you. -
Tour, Day 4
Spoke yesterday with my Driver for the Tennessee to Virginia leg of the tour, and since I'd not found things in Knoxville or Asheville, he recommended we take the Northerly Route to Salem, VA, which will take us through Lexington, KY, and there's a bunch of places HE knows to play, there.
