Thursday I was PMS'ing. I didn't realize it till later because I normally don't PMS, but when my period came on Friday everything became clear. I got to meet some half-grown chickens and a young rooster day before yesterday. One of the girls I sing with has built a coop on her farm outside Jackdawtown. The hen-house was whitewashed, neat and very nice, I'd like living there if I was a chicken. The rooster looked fabulous with a mane of green-shimmering feathers around his neck. It's so pretty outside, I've spent most of the day just looking out the windows and going, "It's so pretty!" The cold is staying and it's been snowing on and off today. It's a real fairytale winter. Yesterday I delivered that project, so today I started my Yule vacation. I may have to implement some corrections Monday morning, but apart from that I'm off work now for the next three weeks. Have you noticed how good it feels to go out, find something good and drag it home? Never mind that you have to pay for what you drag home, the inner gatherer obviously doesn't get such abstract concepts as money (or much less credit cards).
