I thought of that verse today. It was a nice reminder. I could tell the whole story but it's too nice outside to sit in here on the comp.
Also, I randomly stopped at a garage sale in Jenison and they had really nice rollerblades that were just my size! I'm going to go use them before it rains again. -

my mom really, really likes animals
We have an injured baby rabbit living in our basement. One of the cats caught it and didn't quite kill it, only left it at the front door half-dead. My dad found it when he went out to work on the garden and it was cold, so he thought it was dead. So he picked it up and once it warmed up a little it started kicking and squirming. I have this weird aversion to talking to strangers sometimes. I know I really need to go rent a mic/speakers/cd player for the wedding, but I really don't want to drive somewhere I've never been before and talk to someone I've never met about something I don't know that much about, and pay money for it ( Read more... ) -

I almost always sleep on the couch at Derik, AJ and John's apartment Tuesday nights because I tutor a fifth-grader in Grand Rapids Wednesday mornings and it's a much shorter drive from their place than from mine. We went out for a real family breakfast and talked, among(st) other things, about their plans for the garden this year. I'm going to miss it, especially now that the strawberries will be in their first fruitful season. And I'm probably going to miss the daffodils blooming. I seem to have reached a lull in wedding plans; we're just waiting on RSVP's. So far nine people are officially attending.
I need to figure out what to do about a sound system, though. -
