A year ago, I said that all rock, no matter what subgenre you consider, is the single worst music genre. Hands down.

After a year of people showing me rock songs, and me listening to opera, I will stand by my statement. Rock is a bane to music and society!

I can't wait to go to Mount Rainier on the 11th, and then for school to begin shortly thereafter. I am about as fond of Seattle as Dante was of Florence after they exiled him.

Wow, I acted like a real idiot last night. Remind me to never drink alcohol again. I don't think there's anything I enjoy less than not being in control of myself.

It's been a good summer overall. Could last year have gone any better? Could I have done anything more? Do I regret a single thing? No, no and no. I really feel like I gave it all my all, and that if I made any mistakes, that they only strengthened me in the long run. On August 11th, I'll head out of Seattle and go to Mount Rainier. When I'm there, I'll be at an archaeology dig wherein I'll help locate Native American sites in the area... and I'll get six credits out of the three week journey (at PLU, a class is worth four credits, to give you folks on the quarter system a perspective). I played MGS4 for 11 hours straight today.

I've been waiting years and years to say that!
