I am mildly miffed at how Iraq and Afghanistan are no longer in the limelight. More specifically for me, how we are no longer supporting out troops, and my former fellow co-workers by trying to get the home. So this morning I woke up with an unusual extra dose of get up and go. I was thinking of what I would possibly get done. I jump in the shower. I am wrapping up, and the fire alarm blares out.
Not since basic training in the army have gotten dressed and out the door so quickly.

This interruption... zapped whatever "get up and go" I had.

Last night I had a very wonderful evening, along with a very liberating and mildly overwhelming realization. I can go on nine mile walks whenever I want on a whim. The idea that people are more 'moral and principled' can reconcile allowing 18000 couples to stay married, but not recognize their rights is appalling.

On that note, The fact that Prop 8 is being upheld, the California State Supreme Court and all the supporters of Proposition 8, can shove their morals up their collective urethrae...
