Remembering the chaos of the last move in, Briar opted out of joining the crowd and was instead in his room, reading the book he got from the library. He was also curious to see who his new roommate was.

At some poin late at night, when Briar was minutes away from being asleep, he heard an odd noise. He jumped up and realized that it was simply Sandry trying to catch his attention. With a sigh, he let his head hit the pillow.

Briar was almost asleep when Sandry's voice rang through his mind.

( You're ignoring me! )

Briar glanced at his roommates empty bed and collapsed on to his own. He grabbed a pillow and made a brave attempt at strangling himself.

( In which Briar talks to the voices in his head. )

After quickly escaping from the party for new students, and the slightly crazy girl, Briar found his way to his new room. Dumping his bags by what he now declared to be his bed and went to care for his Shakkan. He left the door open.

In Discipline cottage, chaos ruled.
