Why were Kate and Alec at a pretty fancy shopping mall in DC? The answer could be found in Alec's sweaters. Or "sweaters" because Kate didn't classify the holey, unravelling garments he apparently preferred as actual sweaters. Nope.
That was Kate's first thought when she'd woken up enough to realise her lack of hair didn't mean it'd been cut. It meant she was a guy. Hallways of the School (Suspiciously Near Locker 327)
So it was possible that Kate had made a wrong turn on the way to finding her room. A wrong turn that had ended up with her dragging a small suitcase & her bow case (just the important stuff right now. Everything else would be shipped later) down a hallway of lockers.
