An awful lot has happened in the last fortnight, and my life has changed beyond recognition.

I am writing this sat in the window seat of the historic house that is our temporary home, overlooking an estuary and the mountains opposite - including a view of the ancient chapel that was the venue of our hosts' wedding last Saturday.

In one week's time home will no longer be here, in the leafy Chiltern hills.

I will be finally joining my husband, living in the shadow of the World Famous Ffestiniog Railway, hurrah!

I have three days of work at my current cleaning job,

four days of work in the health food shop, including Easter Saturday,

All is in Chaos at Planet Prent - as the war on clutter is fought tooth and nail and the house is fixed up to make it saleable.

A lot of these processes can be frustrating, as they often make things look worse while they are in progress, but looking at my freecycle folders reassures me about how much Stuff has left for new homes. I am listening out ( Read more... )

I just found this whilst surfing:

ecofont

An ink saving Font, free to download and use.

It looks fainter than normal verdana -- a bit like the "draft" option I had on my pre windows computer/word processor -- but readable for most people I would have thought.

Great for everyday use, but not for formal/posh stuff I think.

Last week saw a new phase of project Moving On.

After months where the focus has been on sorting out the contents of the house, enough of the hoarded stuff has been re homed to allow work to start on sprucing up the house itself.

I found watching The Anne Frank Diary this week, plus the documentary shown afterwards, very moving.

And then I turned over and watched the news. For some, such things are not history. :-(
