*Hedda's sitting in one of the innumerable parlor-type rooms in the Mansion, feet up on the coffee table, hands fiddling with something. She looks rather bored.*

*Hedda's sitting alone in the Mansion library with a glass of brandy, reading a book on farming in the Middle Ages. She looks rather bored with it.
She would certainly welcome company.*

*Somewhere in the middle of the forest, a gunshot is heard. And, if anyone happens to be there, they will see Hedda, her cheeks flushed, throwing her head back and laughing as though shooting a pistol is a huge, glorious joke.*

*Hedda is bored. And, as anyone who has read the play would know, boredom and Hedda don't mix well. And so it would be a very good thing for someone to come talk to her*

*Hedda is bored, which is why she's in the library in the first place. But the book she happened to pick up is extremely boring itself, and reminds her far too much of her honeymoon. She would welcome any sort of company, especially someone who can carry on a conversation*

*If anyone wants to talk to Hedda, she's sitting on a couch. The covers on the arms of the couch have been pulled off, and are on the floor. She has a book on her lap, but she's not reading. She would welcome some relief from her boredom.*
