I got my new license in the mail today. It's got a lovely M1 on it.. but by far and away, it's the worst picture of me ever to have appeared on such an object. I'll spare you the evidence.

A quick kitty update:
Pebbles has been doing very well. Her white blood cells are surviving chemo just fine and she's gained about 2 pounds from the time of the endoscopy. Hopefully things are stable like this for a good long time.

I wish I knew less than I did; I wish I wanted to know less than I do. I wish to resolve the conflict between what is mine and what is theirs.
Fantasies are better than their realization. The former can be whatever you want them to be. The latter comes with consequences, or at least rough edges that aren't much fun to navigate.

I passed (by the skin of my teeth) the MSF Basic RiderCourse today. I know what I did wrong on the test.. and what I've got to work on. I'm looking forward to getting more practice.

I just got back from working out in the park. It wasn't nearly as miserable as I thought it might be. :)

It's small-cell lymphoma in the intestine. Treatment is prednisone twice a day and leukeran once every three days. Apparently the chemo pill will not cause her to lose her fur, however her whiskers might fall out. Prognosis based on reaction to treatment.. So more news in a month.

2257 is both. It all started as a well-cat visit last week. She's now had blood work, urinalysis, x-rays, an ultrasound, and endoscopy. Biopsy results should be in tomorrow. It's either intestinal lymphoma or Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Neither is great, but we're rooting for the latter.
