The Boggarts dance out this last friday in Hathersage was cancelled. We had a dancer pull out and another injure herself, and couldn't put a viable side together ... it really got to me. Hathersage is kinda cool, plus seeing the Boggarts eases the sense of isolation I still feel at living in Derby. But also it's just doesn't look good for the side ( Read more... )

I found a spiral in Markeaton park - more a collection of whirls, but they're evocative of spirals. Mown into the grass between an oak and some beech trees, and in the sun and fresh grown leaves it made me smile. Gods, that would be good. There can't be a person in the country who'd disagree with that.

And it's all my fault.

If, by ancient pagan rite, the Boggarts had not raised the sun upon the west peer on may day at dawn, would it now be sunny ? I think not !

The Whitby weekend was v enjoyable. And we got free drinks in the curry house, if only for entertainnig the staff by laughing at their table cleaning machine.

Not that there's anywhere in England, let alone Yorkshire doing this but ...
