This week was the first week of microteaches . Each learner teaches a 30 minute session and it is assessed by the tutor and 3 members of the class. There are 19 people in the class so we were split into two smaller groups for this. John has gone down with a really nasty case of shingles. They're on his face-all around his right eye, which is apparently quite unusual and very painful. I hope he gets better very soon.

This week was tutorial week. All my tutor really wanted to do was check over my session plan for my microteach. She thinks it's basically OK, but I'll probably redraft it to make it flow better. Today we mostly looked at how to embed functional skills (literacy, numeracy and ICT) into our teaching.
