Though Selwyn was born in a small feral colony, and the exact date is not known, I do know he was between 4 and 5 weeks old on June 12th, 2012. I decided to set the exact date of his birth 4 weeks from that date, which is May 15th, and also happens to be the birthday of a childhood friend of mine who I have resumed contact with after a decade or so ( Read more... )

Selwyn is just about exactly 10 months old now. I took ( this photo )

This photo cracks me up. They were in the midst of a greeting, and I think Selwyn must have just licked Hubero's head, or something. ( The beasts. )

Here are two photos. One from August, and one from yesterday. To say Selwyn has grown would be an understatement. He's a solid 13 lbs, according to our scale, and feels it compared to Hubero, who weighs in at 10.5 lbs.

So... Selwyn adopted the stuffed G.I.R. sometime back in August, when he was still a reasonably tiny kitten. It was kind of hilarious to watch him drag this giant stuffed beast around in his teeth, by one hand. Selwyn, being just about 8 months old, now weighs approximately 12 lbs. Yes. Twelve pounds.
This is what he looks like immediately after about an hour of crazy-kitten antics, just after collapsing to wind down for a long nap.

He does have faint spots, not that they show in this photo. And he's also around 10 lbs right now, in spite of being about 2 weeks from 7 months old.

Selwyn is approaching 6 months old, and still growing. My haphazard weighing indicates he's about 8 lbs (held him while I weighed myself). Hubero was 10.5 lbs last weighing.
