Just thought I would post to make sure my account is still functional. I haven't kept up with this at all for awhile, but I think I'll get back into it :)

I have crossed the final frontier. First it was learning to whistle, then it was blowing bubble gum bubbles. Now, at the ripe old age of twenty-one I am finally able to snap my fingers :D This may be seen as pretty sad to some, but hey, better late than never! ;)

After saying that he had a surprise for me, Matt picked me up as usual on Monday morning and we headed off for the day's mischief. Matt and I went off to the wedding of one of his friends last Saturday. We piled into Karl's Explorer along with Jeff and his sister Kathy and headed down to Brooks, Georgia which is kind of out in the boonies. But I'm going to hate the experience much more since I'm stuck going to an appointment tomorrow at 8:00 in the morning!!! Blargh.

Because I went out and bought a bikini earlier this week and then actually sported it last night at the pool. I haven't had a bikini since I was seven or so. I wouldn't have one now either except Matt and I were bumming around, and he suggested we hit a couple of stores while we were out so I would no longer have the excuse of not having a bathing ( Read more... )

Live Journal must exist in some sort of time warp. I've noticed that the past few times I've posted, it's selected a random time to post along with my entry. For example, my previous post was made around 9:30 in the morning, but it reads instead as 2:28 in the afternoon. I just got back from walking up my street to the corner so I could get good reception on my cell phone while talking to Matt. Why is it that Murphy's Law decrees that everyone I know in the neighborhood should decide to come driving by while I'm standing there in my pajamas after just rolling out of bed? Coming back from my apartment today I got to see a red-headed woodpecker fluttering alongside the road by the sidewalk. It then flew up into a pine tree where it was still highly noticeable. The last time I remember seeing one of those was probably over ten years ago at my grandparents farm in Minnesota.

How is it that I always end up making long-overdue posts and such? Oh well, I'm going to blame this lack of postage on my inability to claim more than ten very slow minutes filled with computer-grinding noise on this virtual doorstop. This is largly due to my mother's habit of spending 24 hours a day sitting here staring at the big glowing screen. ( Read more... )
