Everytime I try to google "post abortion support group" all I end up finding are pro-life groups telling me that "the first step in dealing with it is realizing I've done something wrong". Anyone have any ideas about pro-choice support groups? This is getting really traumatic. Argh.

i had an abortion last nite. i can not stop taking my medications for 8 months and the month i have taken it before i knew i was pregnant probably already created 2 heads. there are other reasons but this was the ultimate and deciding factor. it was the right and only decision but i am still sad. and angy.  i have spent nites comparing my palm ( Read more... )

today was 5 years since my abortion. it still gets to me from time to time but it was the right decision at the time. lately i've been really emotional about it. but it's getting easier i think. but only time will tell.

I recently read an article in Bitch magazine about the "I've had an abortion" tee-shirt. Obviously, its a rather bold statement to wear on a piece of clothing, and I think I have mixed emotions about it. The topic of abortion is all over the UK news at the moment, with Church leaders calling for it to be an election issue. Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor, the head of the Catholic church in Englad and Wales has compared abortion to the Nazi genocide in WWII. Needless to say his comments disgust me.
