Still feeling icky blah about food and what to do about it.

But.. I got my ass on the treadmill today. I did 2.36 miles in 32 minutes (down from what would normally be about 2.6 miles in that time).. about a 13:32 pace. Used to be a pain in the tuchus. Now it's sort of nice to get up by 10, bus to class, and be home by 2:30. One of my classes is taught by a cooky 69 year old theater guy who keeps referring to the class as "babies" and "darlings." Yay.. I ran 2 miles today. I went with a friend who does elliptical and not running (and smokes) .. so she couldn't keep up and really wasn't ready to do anymore. But I could've done another half mile or mile, easily. I ran at the Aventura Circle and it was so lovely and flat compared to ANYTHING in Gainesville. So, tonight was my first 5k. Sort of.
Actually, it wasn't.
As it turns out, the route was about 2.9 miles. I guess it being a 'fun run' gives them the discretion to call it a 5k when it isn't one!

My time was 36:53 (12:43 pace) and I DID NOT STOP RUNNING AT ALL! My friends estimated that our time may have been a little faster than that because we ( Read more... )
