Have y'all seen the new We Are The World? It's lovely. I'm a total sucker for stuff like that. However, there's something I can't get over. it's tons of musicians in a room, singing. I have been trying to read more, and generally doing a pretty good job of it. I've gotten through several nonfiction books and novels in the last few months. I finally had to stop buying books, and got a library card. One of my heroes was murdered this morning. One of the reasons I chose to be a doctor, instead of a midwife. Dr. George Tiller was shot at point blank range at his church this morning.
I don't have words. all I have right now are tears. and the people that I need to cry on are in california and maryland. -

Left thursday afternoon. drove a few hours thursday, 13 hours yesterday, 12 today. I'm somewhere in the middle of Illinois now, and should have about 6 hours of driving left. boards are tomorrow. for my non-med school people. think big, life-altering, if I don't pass they might not let me be a doctor, scary test. I'm as ready as I'm going to get, and I'm not freaking out horribly, but it's still big and scary. if you could send some smart vibes toward California tomorrow, 9-6 PDT, I would really appreciate it. -

today is my last day of anatomy lab.
