here! [Background]
here! [Personality] The Nunnally as we know her in the first season is a kind and gentle person. She tries to be a kind to all she meets, regardless of their background or whether they’re Japanese or Britannian. Maybe having Suzaku as a friend early on helped in this respect, and she views the Japanese people as people. She’s openly surprised when people bring up prejudices, as she was surprised and a little saddened when Nina told her that she was afraid of Suzaku when he first came to the school. Though she didn’t correct the girl, it still seemed to upset her.
Nunnally’s also very innocent hearted. She likes to try to believe the best in people, and that also means that she believes or tries to believe what people tell her. Maybe she’s a little too trusting - she wants to believe that all people are good, and that they wouldn’t lie to her. Especially when they’re saying they’re telling the truth. Not looking at you Lelouch, no.
However, in the year timeskip of the anime, there’s a change in her personality. Perhaps it’s due to her being put in the new Viceroy position, but whatever the case there is a little bit of a change. She still cares for people, but she isn’t quite as easily misled as she used to be.
Since taking her viceroy position, she carries herself with more authority. She’s not afraid to put people in their place, as she did with her advisor when she found out that she wasn’t telling Nunnally the whole truth. She isn’t about to let people (knowingly) walk all over her anymore, so to speak. She believed that, as the viceroy, she needed to be a strong leader.
Nunnally’s a little more suspicious of other people’s motives now, oftentimes attempting to touch people’s hands if she feels they’re not being completely honest with her. Where she didn’t really question what most people said before, she questions it more often now. Or maybe it’s for reassurance, but for whatever reason she’s not quite as trusting as before.
However, her stance on wanting peace hadn’t changed. Instead it became stronger, since she was in a better position to attempt to calm the sentiments in Area Eleven. Her plan was to extend the offer of the deceased Euphemia’s plan to create a Special Zone for the Japanese. It didn’t matter to her what the Japanese may have thought about it all, but she had to at least try. This was where her stubbornness came out also; when she held firmly to the belief that it must happen, no matter who she talked to. She was even adamant to Lelouch about it - though he was disguised as Zero at the time.
Speaking of Lelouch, her brother was, and still is very dear to her. Nunnally stated once when she was trying to recreate the Special Zone that she had to be someone that Lelouch would be proud of, wherever he was watching from. However, things changed when she found out he really was Zero, after he took the throne as Emperor. She did try to reach out to him, but got rejected in the process. After that, she saw him as a person to be stopped.
Though, that was fixed for her in the end when he orchestrated his own assassination. Her reaction wasn’t one that was upset with her brother - in fact, when she finally understood, she started sobbing. She told him that she was happy the way she was, back at home at Ashford, and that he hadn’t needed to do what he had done. She didn’t leave his side not that she could even if she wanted to as he died, crying.
Nunnally is also very close to Suzaku - thanks to the friendship they had had when they were originally sent to Japan. She begins to even be able to lean on his support - even when Lelouch is around, calling out to him instead for his help. She can rely to him, and he’s one of the closest people to her as well. Even though she was disappointed in him as well towards the end of R2 as much as she was with Lelouch, she still thought of him as being very close to her.
[Specialties/Abilities] Nunnally’s a normal human being for the most part, save for the part where she can tell who’s lying by touching their hand.
[Affection] Well, I guess hugs and whatnot would be fine. I'm not that picky with affection for her, but do be warned there may just be at least two boys after you if there's more than just a hug.
...just sayin'.
[Fighting] she. doesn't fight. D: and wouldn't ever want to get involved in one.
