i just read about this yves st. laurent exhibit coming to the de young museum in November. I am very excited. If it's even half as fantastic as the Valentino exhibit I went to in Rome last year, it will be awesome!!!

Yesterday I did my first run over 10 miles in a really long time.  It was a huge mental barrier for me, the last few times I've gotten to that point in my training disaster has struck:  stress-fractured femures, torn hamstrings, broken feet.  I knew I needed to suck it up and get it done, but I kept putting it off.  Well, in the end I did very well ( Read more... )

i'm so tired. we've come into the busy time of year, lots of 12 hour days.  yesterday i was here from 6:40 to 6:40.  I then went home, did laundry, bathed the dog, vacuumed, cleaned the house, made dinner for the next two nights, and made cookies.  lots has been going on lately, including a fantastic trip to portland and eugene, a lot of positive ( Read more... )

today is my anniversary. 3 years!!! woo whoo.  unfortunately, we're so busy right now that we don't really have time to celebrate.  unless you count making taco salad for dinner celebrating. but that's okay, we'll go out for a nice dinner and do that stuff at a later time.  it will be awesome!

so our office is moving to a new campus down the street in a few months and they're allowing us to use the gym there, which is pretty cool.  so, i decided to make the most of it and took a late lunch and went for a run.  despite the heat and serious wind off the bay i did really well. i did my 4 miles in ~29 minutes!
