Watchmen
Oh, also, I saw "Watchmen" last night with avani and her sister. We missed a bit at the beginning when dinner took longer than expected. I didn't think it was very good, and I wasn't alone. Mediocre acting, songs that didn't fit, and too many poor scenes that should have just been cut make me wish I'd just read the book and waited to watch the movie ( Read more... ) -
Abortion worse than Rape?
Something is wrong with the Catholic church.
The Vatican has defended the excommunication of those involved in helping a nine-year-old girl get an abortion in Brazil after she was allegedly raped by her stepfather.

Tequila Party?
A visit to El Palomar inspired an idea for a party: a tequila-tasting party. That would avoid me having to buy all of these myself. Virgin America
Another thing that happened over the holidays was that avani and I flew with Virgin America. One of the first things we did on the plane was play DOOM. It wasn't great on the gamepad, but it was still fun (until the systems crashed when we switched to internal power). Our favorite game, though, was a Text-Twist-like game ( Read more... ) -

Holiday summary
I went to Minnesota for Thanksgiving, and avani came with. We stayed for about a week, which was originally going to be a nice long relaxing visit. I should be packing right now, not making grenadine and not posting to LiveJournal, but I occasionally (probably above daily on average) have a thought that I think about posting here, and I almost never do.
