Ha...I was going to post this up on DA but...I'm not sure when I got sick of the responses, but I did. Ditching the entry seemed like a pain too so it's going to go here. Maybe I'll just dump most of the more severe dissery here. That way I can even talk about the blinking idiots on DA without worrying about the mods coming to banhammer me XD

Hn. I didn't even know about such news until I read this. How...well, it doesn't really bother me in the slightest. But what relevence does it hold, really? Whoo. Big deal. He's a fag. Does she want us all to dance and hold hands or something? Let us rejoice! Some old dead dude is GAY! YES.

These are the things that make me disrespect JKR. I mean, it's nice that she got a generation of children reading, and hell, much like you I enjoyed the books. The seventh dissapointed me though, as did the sixth. The third is still my favorite, but I'm going off on a tangent.

I thought I had something relevant to type out when I first opened up this comment box...but, I guess I forgot.

It honestly upset me when I heard the news because imo, it's an insult to my gay friends and myself seeing how I'm pretty much bisexual.

It just felt like the issue of the matter was forced, and just there as fanservice to the whackier nutjobs who oogle over her poorly written books. It was so unneccessary and she just played it out just because the whole idea of gay relationships is popular amongst her fanbase. If people honestly think she did it as a "it's the thought that counts" kind of concept, they apparently never read her interviews or seen some of the video interviews she's been on.

JKR is a tool imo -- Her work is highly reminiscent to other stories I read, minus the interesting characters/plot/bleh, and she's so bloody rich I don't see why she would ever worry about profits ever again. :| In all honesty, I don't know why I actually liked the series at the beginning myself.

well when I read about him being gay I was like "wow that is a shocker ...NOT." If people were to read the book and understand well enough and see what is soo blunt and apparent it would have been so oh lalala. But since it wasn't so apparent to some people. She took that advantage and decided to create a big fuss. For me I kinda liked the series. But when it got to the later books she started to get a bit different. In the last book she killed of tones and tones of characters with no real reason. It kinda gave more plot when mad-eye died but when lupin and tonks died there really was no real story line to that. But the worst thing to me was the damn epilogue it was he biggest fanserviest thing in the world my god I was like wtf. of all the parings of all then endings and every thing that had to be it and the last sentence "The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years all was well"(something on those lines )and that is what killed the whole thing for me that one stupid ass sentence. that lame little thing killed it. oh and the ( ... )
