Dispatches in the early morning...

Saturday - Lovely afternoon out at Richborough Fort with silenttex. Had a fab time wandering the ruins trying to understand the directions from the audio guidebook - it did get a bit Choose Your Own Adventure at times: you are standing in front of a ditch, ahead of you you can see steps leading down and to your left is an information panel... Was going to phone you this afternoon but had a nap instead :o)

6th-12th is definitely fine with us.

I've deleted a ton of mail, so if you want to try downloading again - if it's still giving you trouble I'll continue pruning.

Naps always take priority!

Cool, I'll purchase some tickets from the nice folk at Air Canada then.

Woo-hoo, you're a star. Ta everso. Your reward will be in muffins.

I started reading Dorothy Sayers and I'm loving it. It's so 1930s and British and feminist and it rocks. I'm reading Gaudy Night. I don't know if the others are like this but I'm quite enjoying this one.

It helps that my job finished this week so I have lots of time to just sit on the porch and read. Lovely!

Oh Sayers is fab. You're rather starting at the end with Gaudy Night but they're all great. I love them all but Gaudy Night and Murder Must Advertise are my favourites.

I couldn't tell what order they went in, but it does appear that a lot has gone on already. I'd still read others!

as a bit concerned beforehand as a friend of his was coming who he described as being a lot like me - always a worry that a) they'll be nothing like me and I'll wonder how people see me or b) I'll not get on with them at all and wonder how people see me. As it was she, Nikki (I think), was lovely and, yes, in certain ways, very like me!

The danger here is twofold: either I was just plain wrong and then you hate me for not seeing the differences or I was very right but because you are so similar you hate each other...

Luckily you are not too similar. Which is a good thing because I really don't know if reality could handle to Carolines*! ;P

* No, twininess doesn't count- were talking about personality here!
