The herbs I planted before I left for Wisconsin all died. It didn't rain one day while I was gone and Bee didn't water as carefully as he could have. He just put out the sprinkler and I guess it didn't reach the herbs. My yard looks like crap and so does my lame garden. What did you do when your kid wanted to go to school? I'm talking about little kids. My son has been to school and tells me he never wants to go back. My daughter is only 4, and she's asked to go. I keep writing about Alli and then deleting it. I only knew her online, and the one time I met her irl I'm pretty sure I annoyed her. Still, I'm just so damn sad she's gone. I'm grateful for her encouragement and advice. She understood having a kid like mine. She was so big hearted and strong and funny. She was wonderful.

It turns out Nana pretty much has cancer all over. I am angry that Bee and I haven't ever been able to get to the point financially to have some extra for emergencies. I'd like to take the kids and fly out to stay with her until the end. Whatever. She'll have all her children there and we'll call every day.

A storm is coming and it's making my ears plugged-up and squishing my head. My coffee tastes wrong and I'm feeling jangly too. I couldn't sleep last night thinking about the suggested changes to the Patriot Act.

It's not quite 12:00pm and it's already 89 outside, with humidity at 50%. It finally feels like summer around here! I suspect the humidity will get worse as the day goes on.
