It's been a very eventful week this week, and most of those events involved food in one way or another. First came St. Patrick's day, and for the first time I made the traditional supper of corned beef and cabbage with Irish soda bread. So, you know how I behaved like a good seamstress and made a muslin "test corset" prior to starting in on the real fabrics? Well, I didn't do that with the dress. After all, the corset had to be the hardest thing I had going, right?

Okay, I couldn't wait. I hadn't hemmed the bottom or the sleeves, but the second I got the drawstring in, I just had to try on the chemise. I had to try it on so that I could finally provide pictures of...me in my underwear! Wow, that sounds really weird. But it's true--( me in my circa-1808 underwear. ) -

The leaves have (finally!) turned down here in NoVA. I've been waiting to see it for weeks, especially since the colors were peaking out in wine country about a month ago. Parma Primavera Pie
So, I finally managed to catch that movie Waitress, with Keri Russell and Nathan Fillion (from Firefly), and it got me in a pie-making mood.
