I'm moving back to Texas.

Today I am going to fire someone. Well actually their manager fires them, I just get to sit there and pick up the aftermath and walk it to the door. I'm actually pretty nervous about doing this- I know it is part of the job but it seems so harsh as well. So I am now front toothless. I had the surgery on Friday and it went pretty well. My surgeon was not a big believer in pain relief so I had a few quibbles with him there. I have not gotten dry socket or anything else equally vile from the wisdom tooth they removed as well. So far everything seems to be healing up nicely. They will do the molds and ( Read more... )

My Mom went back to Germany on Saturday and my step-dad is getting settled in Austin. I feel bad for my Mom since today is her birthday and all her family isn't in the same country. Dad went to JFK Hospital in Edison on Thursday to have his second stone surgery. They were not totally successful getting out all of the stones and he now has to go to NYU Hospital this summer to have a third surgery. This has to do w/ the spacing of his kidneys, the fact the stones are higher up than necessary and other events that make this not ( Read more... )

I don't know if I just did the smartest thing today or the dumbest thing yet. I turned down the guaranteed insurance job for a temp to perm c/s job that isn't quite c/s but pays quite a bit more and is closer to home.
