Think I'm going to try and follow tranonehalf 's example and start some forum posting.   I like the idea of the forum being a real go-to place for all scrabblers worldwide.  It's going to take a whole lot of momentum shifting though.

I finished 3-9.   Lots to work on with my game - so will keep trying to improve.   I don't think I'm playing hugely terribly, but I do have certain tendencies that need to be curtailed e.g. fishing too much, not paying attention to board dynamics (i.e. the fundamentals of scrabble).

I went 1-6 on day 1.  Here are all 7 games.  I think I played actually not too badly for the most part, though I did have the odd wobble (edit: after looking through the games again, I am now a bit less happy about my play).  My win versus wordslinger_eh and the second against spherulitic were my most poorly played, though I seemed to muff one important turn per game each ( Read more... )

I have been watching the Scrabcast stuff from the UK for a few months now.    This is accessible via their twitchTV website.  I would say that the feed quality is ok but not amazing. Another slight negative is that I find the website to be a bit unwieldy.  However, overall it is a good service (especially as it's free) and they appear to improve ( Read more... )

The Collins division at Nationals hit 40 today - 36 confirmed.

I have to say I was skeptical when the minimum required registrants was set at 40 but it looks like that has been cleared with 7 weeks to go.

Does anyone have, or know how to generate using zzyzyva, a wordlist comprised of CSW12 only trifectas. i.e. alphagrams with 3 solutions all of which are only good in CSW ( Read more... )
