Here's a short story I submitted for English class.  The assignment was to write a 3-5 page paper about a transformation of a human into a non-human thing, mirroring The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka.  Mine is slightly happier than Kafka's... sort of.  It's really kind of sloppy as I wrote it in about three hours.
