I came home from yoga last night to the most beautiful sight.
I walked in the front door and everything was still and quiet. The lights were dimmed down and the tv was off. So tomorrow is it, my first day of work. Everyone keeps asking if I'm excited. I don't really know how to answer that question. It all still feels so surreal. I went out and bought an electric pump on Tnursday, not really something I had planned on doing at almost 10 months post-partum.

Sophia and I made it to Missouri and back. The trip was nice.
The Highlights:
- Shawn's mom and I traveled nicely together. We have a really close relationship, closer than my own mom and me, but I wasn't sure how it would be spending a full week together. I was really happy she was there and so was Sophia.

I don't have a whole lot to say, but I feel like I should do an update. I finally got my dumb phone replaced- the internet connection kept dissappearing on the old one- and I downloaded the LJ app so maybe I'll be able to post more regularly.
- Sophia's 1st tooth came in about two weeks ago. She's really enjoying playing with it with her tounge.

The other night we were at Shawn's parents house. Since I'm planning on taking our pack & play to Missouri with us in a few weeks, I've been letting Sophia play in it in hopes of getting her comfortable to being in it. Since I'm staying home with Sophia I figured it made the most sense to make her baby food. It's quick and easy and gives us an excuse to go the local farmer's markets every weekend or so. Adventures in Parenthood
Sophia usually sleeps in her bassinet right next to my side of the bed, but last night we tried co-sleeping. She fell asleep in the car then woke up after we changed her into her pajamas. I am so excited, we picked a weekend and booked our car for a trip home next month. In less than 3 weeks I will be surrounded by my amazing family and friends. Just the idea of having everyone meet Sophia for the first time brings me to tears.
Life is good.
