Jack is almost 2/3 through his treatment. We've been tapering off his medication to once a day now. Where his hind legs look like they are improving, he still refuses to make any real walking form of movement. On this seemingly beautiful day, a day without any clouds, a day where the sun shone high above the sky after a day filled with rain and dreariness yesterday, I had to take Jack in to the vet for the first time. So my internship officially started this week at SES. I wrote a lot about it already in my reflective journa l. In a nutshell, I will say this: thank goodness for paraeducators who come to actually be there to support the teacher and to be actively involved with the students. This past weekend I decided to start my projects for my internship seminar class. It's interesting how my professor (who is also my advisor) knows that we will be interning at a school, planning with our cooperating teacher mentors, being observed, and working on our portfolio etc. yet she still manages to give us some other work to do. Yesterday Jack and I went out to do a lot of little errands. We went to Giant, Costco, Post Office, and Exxon Gas Station. The more I keep going back to SES to get myself acquainted with CS, AS, and other staff members, the more confident I feel that everything will work out in good time. My final course just ended tonight. Don't know how I did on the final two projects, but I'm pretty sure I did okay on them. I worked hard on them since Sunday and it really feels good to have them done! I am only days away from starting my internship this fall.
