Housing advice from Boston-area residents?

So, I only seem to use LJ when I'm feeling whiny, or I need something. No real comment, just an observation.

Day 5: Isla Bartolome
Felt...unusual; stayed on the boat. I'm told Bartolome was pretty, and looked largely as it did after the original lava flow that formed it. I'm not really a pessimist. I'm a frustrated optimist. To whit, I believe in Murphy's Law - and I constantly wish I didn't. I also wish it didn't seem so damned applicable to the way life works.
I'm sure things aren't as bad as they seem, but in the thick of things, it's hard to be optimistic.
