Went to see the Doc on Wed. Scary visit for me. I only see a doc when I have part of my body falling off. I thought it was bad allergies or perhaps a cold that just wouldn't leave... I get there, they stick me on a breathing machine for 15 minutes, take an EKG of my heart, tell me I have an infection in my left lung, I have high blood pressure ( Read more... )

My thoughts are with my buddy Onyx today. She is moving into her retirement / get well home tomorrow. I'll admit that it is a little sad for me to see her leave the barn life. Had fun this weekend. I spent Saturday on horseback at a Renaissance Military school/camp. I thought that I was going to be participating in the Pike Square like I had last Fall when I attended but was offered a horse (Gigi) upon arriving from Sir Raphael for the day. Had a good weekend. Got plenty of rest which I really needed. On Saturday, I played with horses for a SCA Horse practice. The sun was out and it was just a great day to be outside. Had a fantastic B-day weekend. Thanks to everyone for making my 40th memorable. :-) It was also fun to see all the different groups of people who came interacting together. (Work mates, musician/artsy types, SCA folk, even family.)
