My home computer is back up and running!
I put in the error message I was getting into google, and read about the likely causes of the problem. Turns out all I needed was to change the battery on the motherboard :). Sam got me a new battery last night, and replaced the old one, and booted up my computer. I'm so glad it was such an easy fix! -
grad school Update
For those of you who know (I guess, and also for those that don't), I'm applying to graduate school this year. I plan to study immunology/pathology.
I've applied to 12 schools, and heard back from 7 9 10 11, as follows:

Well crap.
I think my home desktop computer finally ate it last night. More testing and futzing around with it is necessary, but if I'm not online much in the near future that'd be the reason. -

I'll be flying out to Philadelphia on Wednesday to go for a graduate school interview at Thomas Jefferson University. I'm pretty excited. I'll be there for two days of interviewing and touring the campus, then staying the night at Dai Vernon's place before flying back to California ( Read more... ) -

More Brainfarts
Went to see Coraline last night with halborski . It is a fanTAStic movie. We even enjoyed it through 2 screaming children and rude people answering their cell phones (what the hell were they doing taking their under-5 kids to a 9:30pm showing anyway? Let your kids go to bed, assholes!)
