another evening run in the 'hood; one car-full of honking jerks, no stops. i mean, c'mon, does that ever really work for anyone? if they weren't hitting on me, were they trying to make me jump out of my skin, honking right g-d next to me?! pfft.

man! i was already feeling the ab work from yesterday whenever i laughed, but i'm for sure feeling it now after tonight's run; not quite another 10k, but close!

back to Town Lake, i guess this is a recovery run of sorts from the 10k on friday? longer distance, fewer stops, post/pre-rain weather was downright pleasant!

i did it, i totally ran a 10k! sore and tight today, but not overly or unexpectedly so, i'd definitely like to get more trail work in. possibly more details later if anyone's interested in hearing about it :)

more elliptical and core work, feeling burnt out today. tapering off for friday's run tomorrow with one workout instead of two, rest day thursday, goatsuckers friday night.

last run before friday and i'm feeling the cumulative effect of yesterday's run, this morning's weights and this evening's run, so i'm about to call the fork stuck.

skipped friday since my running partner had scheduling conflicts, so i ran today; started drizzling when i headed out, said screw it and kept going... and it was awesome. first road/rain run with no stops, no walking, felt great! 10k this friday night; feeling less nervous about performance and more about trying to run with 999 other people, heh ( Read more... )
